Species information

Pleiogynium timorense     (DC.) Leenh.

This native tree is commonly known as Burdekin plum.

Pleiogynium timorense is described as a "dicot" in the Anacardiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded distribution has the Fraser Coast region as near the southern limit with a few records further south into north-west Gympie region. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 22 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Boompa, Booral, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Gigoomgan, Howard, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Pialba, Point Vernon, River Heads, Takura, Tiaro, Tinana, Toogoom, Urraween.
