Species information

Pseuderanthemum variabile     (R.Br.) Radlk.

This native groundcover is commonly known as pastel flower.

Pseuderanthemum variabile is described as a "dicot" in the Acanthaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Flowers can be white, pink or mauve (Leiper, Glazebrook, Cox and Rathie. 2008. Mangroves to Mountains). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 33 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Bidwill, Boompa, Booral, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundathu, Dundowran Beach, Granville, Gundiah, Howard, Kawungan, Magnolia, Malarga, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Paterson, Pioneers Rest, River Heads, St Mary, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Teebar, Tiaro, Tinana, Tuan Forest, Urraween, Yengarie, Yerra.
