Thunbergia alata     Bojer ex Sims

This introduced vine or climber is commonly known as black-eyed Susan.

Thunbergia alata is described as a "dicot" in the Acanthaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Listed as an invasive plant under the Biosecurity Act 2014 but not prohibited or restricted. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 14 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bidwill, Booral, Glenorchy, Magnolia, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, St Mary, Teddington, Tiaro, Tinana, Toogoom, Urangan.
