Species information

Utricularia uliginosa     Vahl

This native aquatic plant is commonly known as Asian bladderwort.

Utricularia uliginosa is described as a "dicot" in the Lentibulariaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

In the Fraser Coast region recorded only on K'gari (Fraser Island) but reported at various locations on the mainland. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting). Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 6 Fraser Coast localities: Boonooroo Plains, K'gari, Maaroom, Owanyilla, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest.
