Species information

Wahlenbergia stricta     (R.Br.) Sweet

This native groundcover is commonly known as tall bluebell.

Wahlenbergia stricta is described as a "dicot" in the Campanulaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

See subspecies. Recorded in the Woodgate area in Bundaberg region and south of Rainbow Beach in the Gympie region. Reported south-west of Maryborough https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/26965063. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 2 Fraser Coast localities: Beelbi Creek, Walligan.
