Species information

Westringia tenuicaulis     C.T.White & W.D.Francis

This native shrub is commonly known as tufted westringia.

Westringia tenuicaulis is described as a "dicot" in the Lamiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Distribution is from Bundaberg south through the Fraser Coast region to Sippy Downs. Also reported at Pacific Haven (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/137238154) 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 11 Fraser Coast localities: Boonooroo Plains, Booral, Cherwell, Sunshine Acres, Talegalla Weir, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Walliebum, Walligan, Wondunna.
