Species information

Xylomelum salicinum     (Meisn.) Benth.

This native tree is commonly known as woody pear.

Xylomelum salicinum is described as a "dicot" in the Proteaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 22 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, Beelbi Creek, Boonooroo Plains, Booral, Burgowan, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Cherwell, Duckinwilla, Dunmora, K'gari, Poona, St Mary, Susan River, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Walliebum, Walligan, Wondunna.
