Species information

Xanthorrhoea latifolia subsp. latifolia     (A.T.Lee) D.J.Bedford

This native shrub is commonly known as coastal grass tree.

Xanthorrhoea latifolia subsp. latifolia is described as a "monocot" in the Xanthorrhoeaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded from coastal wallum to inland ranges. In the Fraser Coast region records at Pialba, Howard, St Mary and Tinana Creek.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 27 Fraser Coast localities: Antigua, Bauple Forest, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Boompa, Booral, Brooweena, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Dunmora, Glenbar, Maryborough West, Mount Urah, Paterson, Poona, River Heads, St Mary, Sunshine Acres, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Tandora, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest, Walliebum, Walligan, Yengarie.
