Alyxia stellata     (J.R.Forst. & G.Forst.) Roem. & Schult.

This native shrub is commonly known as black chain fruit.

Alyxia stellata is described as a "dicot" in the Apocynaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

A coastal Queensland species also found on various Pacific islands. Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region. Southern disjunct limit Booral. Also reported at Dundowran Beach and Round Island. Listed as a priority locally significant species in Fraser Coast (Stage 2 Threatened Spieces Action Plan. July 2019. Fraser Coast Regional Council). Fruiting Booral May 2016. Black fruit. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 3 Fraser Coast localities: Booral, Great Sandy Strait, Toogoom.
