Species information

Argyrodendron actinophyllum     (F.M.Bailey) Edlin

This native tree is commonly known as black booyong.

Argyrodendron actinophyllum is described as a "dicot" in the Sterculiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Distribution is south from the Sunshine Coast and north from near Sarina. Argyrodendron is included in the family Malvaceae in the Australian Plant Census. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
