Species information

Psydrax oleifolia     (Hook.) S.T.Reynolds & R.J.F.Hend.

This native tree is commonly known as myrtle tree.

Psydrax oleifolia is described as a "dicot" in the Rubiaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded to the north, west and south of Fraser Coast region. Closest records near Murgon and Dalarnil. Reported at a couple of locations away from the coast. 

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 2 Fraser Coast localities: Kanigan, Teebar.
