Species information

Elattostachys xylocarpa     (A.Cunn. ex F.Muell.) Radlk.

This native tree is commonly known as white tamarind.

Elattostachys xylocarpa is described as a "dicot" in the Sapindaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Not recorded in the Fraser Coast region. Nearest record at Mt Walsh. Reported at Mt Bauple, Tinana Creek, Grongah National Park, Mt Walsh, Mt Urah, Wongi National Park and Lenthalls Dam.  

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 9 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Boompa, Doongul, Howard, Magnolia, Malarga, Mount Urah, Tuan Forest, Woocoo.
