Species information

Croton lucens     P.I.Forst.

This native shrub is commonly known as shiny leaved croton.

Croton lucens is described as a "dicot" in the Euphorbiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Critically Endangered. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

No records in Fraser Coast region. Known only from an area south-west of Gympie (Paul I. Forster Austrobaileya Vol. 8, No. 4 (2012) Queensland Herbarium). https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/194262815 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
