Species information

Banksia robur     Cav.

This native shrub is commonly known as broad-leaved banksia.

Banksia robur is described as a "dicot" in the Proteaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

A banksia of wet coastal Wallum areas.  Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 30 Fraser Coast localities: Beaver Rock, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Boonooroo Plains, Booral, Burrum Heads, Cherwell, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Dundowran, Dunmora, Eli Waters, Granville, K'gari, Maaroom, Pacific Haven, Point Vernon, Poona, Prawle, Sunshine Acres, Susan River, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Urraween, Walliebum, Walligan, Wondunna.
