Species information

Brachyloma daphnoides subsp. daphnoides     (Sm.) Benth.

This native shrub is commonly known as daphne heath.

Brachyloma daphnoides subsp. daphnoides is described as a "dicot" in the Ericaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

The only subspecies in Fraser Coast region (Queensland Flora Census 2018). Recorded in the Fraser Coast region in sandy coastal areas. Also present further west of the region in inland areas. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/136880942 https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/60023377  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 5 Fraser Coast localities: Beelbi Creek, Burrum Heads, K'gari, Mount Urah, Tinnanbar.
