Species information

Brunoniella spiciflora     (F.Muell. ex Benth.) Bremek.

This native groundcover is commonly known as white brunoniella.

Brunoniella spiciflora is described as a "dicot" in the Acanthaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Distribution northern NSW north to Gympie with an outlier population on the ranges west of Mackay. ‘Back on Track’ high priority plant species for the Burnett Mary NRM region. White flowers (Glenn Leiper, Jan Glazebrook, Denis Cox & Kerry Rathie. 2008. Mangroves to Mountains). https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/195706736. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
