Species information

Chrysocephalum apiculatum     (Labill.) Steetz

This native groundcover is commonly known as yellow buttons.

Chrysocephalum apiculatum is described as a "dicot" in the Asteraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 21 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, Boonooroo Plains, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Cherwell, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Gigoomgan, Glenwood, Granville, Gungaloon, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Point Vernon, Poona, St Mary, Talegalla Weir, Tandora, Teebar, Walligan.
