Eucalyptus carnea     R.T.Baker

This native tree is commonly known as thick-leaved mahogany.

Eucalyptus carnea is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Eucalyptus umbra subsp. carnea (Australian Plant Census). Fraser Coast region is the northern limit of this species apart from one record near Bundaberg. Uncommon. Appears to be found in small widely scattered populations including at Teebar and Tinnanbar. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
