Marsilea mutica   Mett.

This native aquatic plant is commonly known as smooth nardoo.

Marsilea mutica is described as a "fern" in the Marsileaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in Fraser Coast region with nearest records to the north near Baffle Creek and the west at Coalstoun Lakes. Reported at Booral and Tiaro. Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
