Species information

Dianella caerulea   Sims

This native groundcover is commonly known as blue flax lily.

Dianella caerulea is described as a "monocot" in the Hemerocallidaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 62 Fraser Coast localities: Booral, Takura, Dundathu, River Heads, Urangan, Dundowran, Craignish, Sunshine Acres, Dundowran Beach, Pacific Haven, Yengarie, Walligan, Urraween, Burrum River, Burrum Heads, Wondunna, Toogoom, Torquay, Point Vernon, Aldershot, Duckinwilla, Nikenbah, Cherwell, Walliebum, Howard, Kawungan, Doongul, Torbanlea, Kanigan, Pialba, Glenwood, Beelbi Creek, Poona, Mount Urah, Granville, Beaver Rock, Bidwill, Magnolia, Teddington, Yerra, Antigua, Gigoomgan, Bauple, Glenorchy, Tinana, Tuan, Boonooroo, Paterson, Great Sandy Strait, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest, Boompa, Tandora, Susan River, K'gari, Burrum Town, Boonooroo Plains, Owanyilla, St Mary, Tinnanbar, Bauple Forest, Maryborough.
