This native shrub
is commonly known as
green five corners.
Styphelia viridis
is described as a "dicot"
in the
Ericaceae
family.
In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern.
Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.
Styphelia viridis subsp. viridis not recorded in region. Leaves oblong to oblong-obovate, 14.8–22.4 mm long, 4.7–7.2 mm wide, base obtuse; petiole 0.5–1.1 mm long (New South Wales Flora Online). See Styphelia viridis subsp. brevifolia (leaf bases narrowing gradually).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
