Species information

Hibbertia aspera subsp. aspera   DC.

This native shrub is commonly known as guinea flower.

Hibbertia aspera subsp. aspera is described as a "dicot" in the Dilleniaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region. Nearest record is just outside the western boundary at Mt Walsh. Reported at Walligan (Vernon Conservation Park), Howard, Fraser Island, Booral and Sunshine Acres. This is the only subspecies recorded in the Wide Bay region.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 2 Fraser Coast localities: Walligan, Sunshine Acres.
