Species information

Hibbertia fasciculata   R.Br. ex DC.

This native groundcover is commonly known as bundled guinea flower.

Hibbertia fasciculata is described as a "dicot" in the Dilleniaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

In the Fraser Coast region recorded only on K'gari (Fraser Island) which is the northern limit and a disjunct population. Also reported on the mainland near Poona (https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/86367589). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
