This variety one of the three recognised in Queensland. Sepals all or the inner ones only obtuse, glabrous with thin margins (Bentham, G. (30 May 1863), Flora Australiensis 1).
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not
listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.
Reported at 3 Fraser Coast localities: Beelbi Creek, Poona, St Mary.
