Species information

Lygodium microphyllum   (Cav.) R.Br.

This native vine or climber is commonly known as snake fern.

Lygodium microphyllum is described as a "fern" in the Lygodiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 21 Fraser Coast localities: Toogoom, Duckinwilla, Tiaro, Craignish, Dundowran Beach, Tuan Forest, Teddington, Island Plantation, Poona, Tinnanbar, Magnolia, K'gari, Yengarie, River Heads, Tinana, Bauple Forest, Talegalla Weir, Beaver Rock, Tandora, Granville, Boonooroo Plains.
