Philydrum lanuginosum   Banks & Sol. ex Gaertn.

This native groundcover is commonly known as frogsmouth.

Philydrum lanuginosum is described as a "monocot" in the Philydraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 47 Fraser Coast localities: Urangan, Sunshine Acres, Dundowran Beach, Pacific Haven, Urraween, Booral, Burrum River, Wondunna, Prawle, Duckinwilla, Cherwell, Yengarie, Pialba, River Heads, Dunmora, Walligan, Craignish, Beelbi Creek, Tuan Forest, Walkers Point, Bidwill, Teddington, Yerra, Poona, Talegalla Weir, Tinnanbar, Tinana, Burrum Town, Boonooroo Plains, K'gari, Toogoom, Kawungan, Granville, Walliebum, Bauple Forest, Maryborough, Burrum Heads, Doongul, Takura, Tandora, Aldershot, Beaver Rock, Owanyilla, Maryborough West, Boompa, Glenwood, Gootchie.
