Species information

Polygala paniculata   L. WEED

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as false pea.

Polygala paniculata is described as a "dicot" in the Polygalaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

In Plants of the World Online known as Senega paniculata. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 13 Fraser Coast localities: Burrum Heads, Beelbi Creek, Poona, Tuan Forest, Talegalla Weir, Tinana South, Takura, Booral, Walligan, Maaroom, Owanyilla, Maryborough West, Boonooroo Plains.
