Species information

Araucaria cunninghamii var. cunninghamii   Aiton ex A.Cunn.

This native tree is commonly known as hoop pine.

Araucaria cunninghamii var. cunninghamii is described as a "conifer" in the Araucariaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in the Atlas of Living Australia.

Reported at 30 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Urraween, Point Vernon, Duckinwilla, Howard, Kanigan, Pialba, Glenwood, Bidwill, Teddington, Gigoomgan, Bauple, Mungar, Maryborough, Tinana, Malarga, Tiaro, Magnolia, Boompa, Doongul, K'gari, St Mary, River Heads, Mount Urah, Talegalla Weir, Urangan, Brooweena, Woocoo, Toogoom, Gootchie.
