Species information

Cupaniopsis anacardioides     (A.Rich.) Radlk.

This native tree is commonly known as tuckeroo.

Cupaniopsis anacardioides is described as a "dicot" in the Sapindaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Leaves mostly obovate or elliptic. Fruits golden yellow sometimes tinged with red, glabrous. Trees rarely more than 15 m high. (Austrobaileya 3(3)1991). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 51 Fraser Coast localities: Aldershot, Bauple, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Boompa, Booral, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundathu, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Gigoomgan, Glenorchy, Granville, Great Sandy Strait, Howard, Island Plantation, Kawungan, K'gari, Magnolia, Malarga, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Pacific Haven, Pialba, Point Vernon, Poona, Prawle, River Heads, Scarness, Susan River, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Tandora, Teddington, Tinana, Tinana South, Tinnanbar, Toogoom, Torquay, Tuan, Urangan, Urraween, Walkers Point, Walligan, Wondunna, Yengarie.
