Species information

Desmodium rhytidophyllum     F.Muell. ex Benth.

This native vine or climber is commonly known as hairy trefoil.

Desmodium rhytidophyllum is described as a "dicot" in the Leguminosae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

In New South Wales known as Maekawaea rhytidophylla. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 37 Fraser Coast localities: Antigua, Bauple, Bauple Forest, Beaver Rock, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Booral, Burrum Heads, Burrum River, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Gigoomgan, Glenorchy, Granville, Magnolia, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Paterson, Poona, River Heads, St Mary, Sunshine Acres, Susan River, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Teebar, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Urraween, Walliebum, Walligan, Wondunna, Yengarie.
