Species information

Thelymitra malvina     M.A.Clem., D.L.Jones & Molloy

This native groundcover is commonly known as mauve-tufted sun orchid.

Thelymitra malvina is described as a "dicot" in the Orchidaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Not recorded in Fraser Coast region according to the Queensland Flora Census. However there is a record for the region in the Australasian Virtual Herbarium (preserved specimens held outside of Queensland). This appears to be on K'gari. It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
