Species information

Elattostachys nervosa     (F.Muell.) Radlk.

This native tree is commonly known as green tamarind.

Elattostachys nervosa is described as a "dicot" in the Sapindaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded at Teddington. Reported elsewhere in the region and these considered northerly outlier populations (Peter Young). Near mature fruit Dundowran Beach February 2017.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 14 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bidwill, Booral, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Glenwood, Howard, River Heads, Takura, Teddington, Urraween.
