Species information

Exocarpos cupressiformis     Labill.

This native shrub is commonly known as native cherry.

Exocarpos cupressiformis is described as a "dicot" in the Santalaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

A species of littoral areas and mountains. Also recorded on K'gari (Fraser Island). https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/102346041 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 8 Fraser Coast localities: Booral, Maaroom, Malarga, Mount Urah, Point Vernon, Poona, St Mary, Tinnanbar.
