Species information

Hovea clavata     I.Thomps.

This native shrub is commonly known as Wide Bay hovea.

Hovea clavata is described as a "dicot" in the Leguminosae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded distribution in coastal areas from Shoalwater Bay south to Gympie. Also reported at Torbanlea and Tin Can Bay https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/111630614, https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/144722641. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 3 Fraser Coast localities: Bidwill, Tinnanbar, Tuan Forest.
