Species information

Seringia impressa     A.R.Bean

This native shrub is commonly known as velvet flower.

Seringia impressa is described as a "dicot" in the Byttneriaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

In Queensland previously known as Seringia lanceolata (Queensland Flora Census 2023) and Keraudrenia lanceolata (Queensland Flora Census 2016). Recorded at Mt Walsh just outside Fraser Coast region.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
