REplaces Leptospermum laevigatum (Queensland Flora Census 2023). Not native to Queensland but naturalised as a result of plantings (Australian National Herbarium). No Fraser Coast region records but is recorded to the south at Rainbow Beach.
It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
