Species information

Mallotus claoxyloides     (F.Muell.) Muell.Arg.

This native shrub is commonly known as green kamala.

Mallotus claoxyloides is described as a "dicot" in the Euphorbiaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Also known as 'smell of the bush'. Fruiting at Teddington February 2016. Flowering Mt Bauple July 2016, Magnolia December 2016 and July 2020 Mt Bauple. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 35 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bidwill, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundathu, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Gigoomgan, Glenorchy, Glenwood, Gootchie, Gundiah, Howard, Kanigan, Magnolia, Malarga, Maryborough, Maryborough West, Mount Urah, Nikenbah, Pialba, Pioneers Rest, River Heads, Scarness, St Mary, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tiaro, Tinana, Tuan Forest, Urraween, Woocoo, Yerra.
