Species information

Murraya paniculata cv. 'Exotica'     (L.) Jack

This introduced shrub is commonly known as mock orange.

Murraya paniculata cv. 'Exotica' is described as a "dicot" in the Rutaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Seeds spread by birds. A commonly encountered weed in the region. As at 01/07/2016 listed as a non-declared environmental weed in the Fraser Coast region. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 25 Fraser Coast localities: Bidwill, Boonooroo Plains, Booral, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Dundowran Beach, Granville, Howard, Malarga, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Pialba, Point Vernon, River Heads, Takura, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinana South, Toogoom, Torquay, Urangan, Urraween, Walligan, Yengarie.
