Species information

Pittosporum venulosum     F.Muell.

This native tree is commonly known as mock orange.

Pittosporum venulosum is described as a "dicot" in the Pittosporaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

The Queensland Flora Census indicates that the natural range is from Central to North Qld. Recorded north from Baffle Creek. Reports further south probably cultivated or escaped from cultivation. 

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Sunshine Acres, Tinana, Toogoom.
