Species information

Pterocaulon redolens     (Willd.) Fern.-Vill.

This native groundcover is commonly known as pineapple daisy.

Pterocaulon redolens is described as a "dicot" in the Asteraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Leaves aromatic when crushed. Also reported on K'gari. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 16 Fraser Coast localities: Antigua, Bauple Forest, Burrum Heads, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Point Vernon, Prawle, St Mary, Talegalla Weir, Teebar, Tiaro, Walligan, Woocoo, Yengarie.
