Species information

Pultenaea paleacea     Willd.

This native shrub is commonly known as chaffy bush-pea.

Pultenaea paleacea is described as a "dicot" in the Leguminosae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Census distribution restricted to Moreton and Darling Downs districts. Reported from a number of sites in the Fraser Coast region however these may actually be P. rariflora or P. robusta).  

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 11 Fraser Coast localities: Boonooroo Plains, Booral, Burrum Heads, Cherwell, Craignish, Granville, K'gari, Poona, Prawle, Susan River, Tinnanbar.
