Species information

Rivina humilis     L.

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as coral berry.

Rivina humilis is described as a "dicot" in the Petiveriaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

As at 01/07/2016 listed as a non-declared environmental weed for the Fraser Coast region. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 34 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bidwill, Booral, Brooweena, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Dundathu, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Eli Waters, Gigoomgan, Glenorchy, Granville, Great Sandy Strait, Gundiah, Howard, Kanigan, Magnolia, Maryborough, Maryborough West, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Point Vernon, River Heads, St Mary, Takura, Teddington, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinana South, Toogoom, Urangan, Yengarie, Yerra.
