Syncarpia hillii     F.M.Bailey

This native tree is commonly known as Fraser Island satinay.

Syncarpia hillii is described as a "dicot" in the Myrtaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Recorded distribution in Fraser Coast region only on K'gari (Fraser Island) which is the northern limit of the species. Elsewhere restricted to on deep sands at Cooloola and on North Stradbroke and Moreton Islands https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/137956924 https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/102040381 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 1 Fraser Coast locality: K'gari.
