Cycnogeton procerus     (R.Br.) Mering & Kadereit

This native aquatic plant is commonly known as water ribbons.

Cycnogeton procerus is described as a "monocot" in the Juncaginaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Triglochin procerum (http://treebase.org/treebase-web/search/study/summary.html?id=10303). In the Australian Plant Census known as Cycnogeton procerum. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting). Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 11 Fraser Coast localities: Bidwill, Burrum River, K'gari, Prawle, St Mary, Sunshine Acres, Talegalla Weir, Tinana, Tuan Forest, Yengarie, Yerra.
