Species information

Sphagneticola trilobata     S(L.) Pruski

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as Singapore daisy.

Sphagneticola trilobata is described as a "dicot" in the Asteraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Previously known as Wedelia trilobata (Australian Plant Census). A category 3 restricted invasive plant under the Biosecurity Act 2014. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 15 Fraser Coast localities: Booral, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Dundowran, Dundowran Beach, Maryborough, Pialba, Point Vernon, Susan River, Talegalla Weir, Tinana, Toogoom, Urangan, Urraween, Yengarie.
