Species information

Ripogonum album     R.Br.

This native vine or climber is commonly known as white supplejack.

Ripogonum album is described as a "monocot" in the Ripogonaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Fraser Coast reports at Dundowran, Craignish, Lenthalls Dam, Mt Walsh, Tinana Creek and Mt Kanigan are outliers at the northern limit of the main southern population. Not recorded between Noosa River and Miriam Vale.  

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 11 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Bauple Forest, Bidwill, Boompa, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Dundowran Beach, Kanigan, Takura, Teddington, Tuan Forest.
