Praxelis clematidea     R.M.King & H.Rob.

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as praxelis weed.

Praxelis clematidea is described as a "dicot" in the Asteraceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

A relatively recent arrival in the Fraser Coast region but spreading rapidly. Similar to Ageratum houstonianum but has less numerous larger teeth on leaf edges and a more pungent smell when leaves are crushed. Stems and pedicels hirsute (Weeds of Australia, Biosecurity edition website). As at 01/07/2016 listed as a non-declared environmental weed in the Fraser Coast region. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 32 Fraser Coast localities: Antigua, Bauple Forest, Boompa, Boonooroo Plains, Burrum Heads, Craignish, Doongul, Duckinwilla, Dundowran Beach, Glenbar, Howard, Magnolia, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Point Vernon, River Heads, St Mary, Sunshine Acres, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teebar, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinana South, Toogoom, Tuan Forest, Urangan, Urraween, Walligan, Woocoo, Yengarie.
