Species information

Dypsis lutescens     (H.Wendl.) Beentje & J.Dransf.

This introduced shrub is commonly known as golden cane palm.

Dypsis lutescens is described as a "monocot" in the Arecaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

No QLD record in Census 2016. Specimens identified in the region at River Heads and Tinana probably cultivated.  

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Dundowran Beach, Maryborough, River Heads, Tinana South.
