Species information

Myrsine subsessilis subsp. subsessilis     F.Muell.

This native shrub is commonly known as red muttonwood.

Myrsine subsessilis subsp. subsessilis is described as a "dicot" in the Myrsinaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region reported at Mt Bauple, Lenthalls Dam, Dundowran, Susan River (Tandora) and K'gari (Fraser Island). 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 6 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple, Duckinwilla, Dundowran, Howard, K'gari, Tandora.
