Species information

Astrotricha glabra     Domin

This native shrub is commonly known as smooth astrotricha.

Astrotricha glabra is described as a "dicot" in the Araliaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded on K'gari (Fraser Island) Which is the northern limit. Also reported on the mainland within the region at Tinnanbar. Distribution to the south to North Stradbroke Island. Flowers with five white petals and dark centres.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
